https://www.facebook.com/Georgia-Galleria-910823412303586/ Please ‘like’ this new effort to promote the arts in this area.
Georgia Galleria will showcase two exhibits on June 3, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. The gallery on the main floor will display entries to the juried exhibit where juror Rea Lynn de Guzman MFA will select the winning art works for the first ($1000), the second ($500), the third ($250) places. Two other merit award certificates will be given for art classes and supplies.
The second one will showcase art by resident artists, new and old collections of the gallery. They will be on exhibit until December in the 6,800 square-foot lower-level gallery annex. The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of winning art works at the main floor gallery at 6:30 PM after participating artists walk with juror an hour earlier. At 7:30 pm, there will be a demonstration of printmaking techniques by Bernadette Martinez in the lower-level gallery annex. Another resident artist, Mickey Elliot will be painting abstracts "live" at 8:30 pm.
Vocalist Nanette Inventor will render some songs. Nathan's Cup Coffee Shop will pour wine and serve finger food. Join us for art appreciation and fun. Meet artists from Vallejo, Benicia, the Bay Area, Sacramento and Los Angeles.
