After getting my BA and Master of Science in the Health Sciences, I needed to venture into a new journey. That journey turned out to be a 20 year love affair with a new business.
As stated above, I have owned my business for 20 years and it has evolved from porcelain doll making to custom precious metal (fine silver) jewelry. I am certified in Levels I, II, and III in precious metal clay from the PMC Connection. Precious metal clay is a workable metal clay which, when fired in a kiln, burns off the binder resulting in a piece that is 99.9% silver. This is more precious than sterling silver.
As the years passed, my business has expanded to include photography and, most recently, fused glass. This new aspect of my business consists of cutting compatible glass into various shapes, firing the glass in a kiln and then firing it again to form colorful bowls, plates, vases, soap dishes, Christmas ornaments, dichroic jewelry focals and one of a kind glass sculptures. I have been honored and lucky enough to receive awards for my work.
Hopefully, the future will hold new artistic challenges that I will continue to explore.
